Systems Manager

Operations

• Design and implement systems architecture so as to keep high standards for assuring the integrity and functionality of its hosted computer environment.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the data center systems, and develop action plans to implement improvements.
• Ensure adherence of standards for infrastructure, hardware, software and security policies under his/her domain.
• Ensure audit and security compliance as per provided observations, resulting issues within deadlines.
• Coordinate development and maintenance of datacenter/server room benchmark standards.
• Maintain and control the job scheduling of system software and preparing production schedules for all jobs and jobs streams at central computing as well any remote facility of the Bank.
• Maintain network maps of all server rooms.
• Assess the usage of storage media and their peak and normal performance characteristics.
• Report to management the status of all events according to escalation procedures.
• Coordinate production schedules, ad-hoc jobs, special processing requirements and processing period.
• Report regular and detailed progress reports to the senior management.
• Coordinate major system introductions with other IT sub-teams.
• Must ensure to follow proper change management and daily task sheet.
• Schedule updating ant-virus definition files.
• Strong CAB management 

Disaster Management

• Develop and test disaster recovery plans for the Data Center.
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly data backup activity as per backup policy.
• Ensure systems readiness all the time 

People & Stakeholder Management

• Manage IT systems operations staff, responsible for installing maintaining, monitoring, analyzing and troubleshooting data center equipment and software.
• Mentor and train team members in project management, development and delivery.
• Ensure team will be highly motivated and perform their tasks in given deadline.

Planning and Implementations

• Remain abreast of new developments through various learning tools such as industry literature, vendor road shows and appropriate professional development workshops.
• Timely Implementation of projects.
• Budgeting, RFP’s, Invoices, agreements and capacity planning.
• Proper RFP’s management in timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Infrastructure Manager
